Glad you asked. Basically, from past experience and excessive/compulsive VAGISIL usage!

Speaking of which, thought it was a bit unrealistic when new ones I installed just over a year ago reported back that they then had 95 months (nearly 8 years) of life remaining... but 14 months on and they're still counting down linearly and consistently.
Ask me again if that's still the case in another 6 years... :assflash:

Will that be the case in another 6 years?

Much better. Thanks!
Think I did try the warranty company on the off-chance but, as expected, they're essentially consumables... what with the irreplaceable (& toxic) batteries.

Whilst this thread is active again... reminds me...
Think the above suggestion has come up a few times before, but I don't really get why you'd fit new TPMS before getting your wheels refurbed...
Sure, it'd make sense to do them before rather than after (to avoid risk of damage/repeating work/etc.), but surely even more sense to do them at the same time... or am I missing some logic?
It's certainly what I've done in the past, as (if doing a full powder-coat refurb) then the tyre and TPMS have to be removed and refitted as part of the process anyhow... so it's no more effort/cost to fit new TPMS and/or rubber at the same time... (other than the cost of the parts, of course).

Didn't word it properly, I did mean don't get them done AFTER a refurb. As you say, at the same to makes more sense.
What's up Nick, your posting a lot this week?

Fair enough :) Wasn't having a dig, Dunc (not that I think you interpreted that way), but pretty sure it's come up before and wondered if I'd missed something.

Yeah, bit out of character... I'll need to be careful that my post count doesn't get out of hand! Final flurry before I go back into hibernation again!

Nick, tell fisherman Chunky how good my RS 6 sounded when you were behind me that day. I'm trying to convince him to invest in some downpipes.

Does sound v. nice. They're not simply gutted OEM downpipes, though, are they?

Nah, Amars are the full MOT fail downpipe, i will just gut the pre-cats. Won't make a huge difference but it will make some.
Amar needs more noise to drown out that MJ crap he listens to, sorry Amar as i know he is your molester, oops, sorry, HERO.
