Thanks Phil & Amar

When it comes to the engine/engine bay, I am not even vaguely concerned about how it looks, function over form for me every time in that department. Not one for the Concours look/flaff ;). This is what an engine bay on a high performance car looks like to me:

Perfect opportunity therefore to upgrade your arm ;)

Been looking in to this more but I think I have a problem with it on mine. From the look of my rear jet it doesn't move but squirts directly up the middle of the rear screen (don't want to try it again as car is gleaming still ;)). The jethad a cut out to indicate that you can put a spanner on it and move it's direction, like a solid C if you follow. The C6/B7 ones look like they are designed for the jet to move with the arm while spraying.

Parts I have seen on other forums are:

8E9955205C CAP
8E9955407C WIPER ARM
8E9955425C WIPER BLADE

From this link the cap suggests that it is designed for a moving jet - http://www.ecstuning.com/Audi-B6_S4--V8 ... /ES264188/

Any idea how others have worked around this or do I indeed have the wrong pump fitted? Guessing I will just have to cut out the cap to match the cut out on the current cap?

Seek and ye shall find - http://forum.rs246.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=80854

Will get the parts ordered and modify the cap accordingly. Luckily I was born with a Dremel in one hand so should be easy enough to not butcher it......

Sorry, I wasn't clear... Not commenting on cleanliness (although, you should really up your game there), I was more concerned about the connector under the brake fluid reservoir cover. Looks like it has been messed about with and things just slapped back together.

Thanks, I will see if I can bring myself to tidy it when I get the new Touran rear wiper assembly on Saturday morning (changed my mind and went the way of Shoppinit after seeing one of his posts) £32 for the arm, blade and correct cap so a total nonsense purchase price :D

Normal: the jet is stationary. It moves when the assembly is broken (frequent).

Tink u is right luke
Nein.

These are deffo the factory 18" option - quite nice and the "Layer Cake" car had these on - I like them.

Here are shots of mine with the OEM winter wheels and tyres (new tyres) on. I got these from Germany on e-Bay and bought new winter rubber this year:

Mr Footlong wrote: Drybeer, I do want 19's so would be prepared to sell these in the not too distant at all but would have to be a package with the tyres. Only just fitted one about 100 miles ago to match the other 3 fairly recent tyres fitted by the previous owner (this one was more worn and unmatched to the other 3 255/40/R18 Dunlop SP MAXX 99Y tyres)

another tyre was replaced less than 800 miles ago and the other 2 3000 miles ago. Overall lots of life left in them I believe but I will double check.
Well, in the word of the immortal Terry Tibbs - "Talk to me" when you've got your 19"s and if it's a sensible price then I'll be interested. It all depends on the price - my preference would be just the rims as then I can choose my own tyres. We'll see!

Ok, sniffing around some MTM wheels currently and not sure if the nice chap is talking trade or sale currently, based on his asking price I am hoping that he isn;t expecting the 18's too!

Will PM you once I know one way or another :)
