In fairness, may have just been invoking rule 26, but got the threads (and the insults) mixed up

At least you could do some of the transplant better than what was done with the mental manual.

Maybe, it may need the sub-frame redone though. Still, I'm not sure I have the appetite for it, that said, I'd like a 'loon way more than an avus avant.

This would kinda be YOUR perfect C5 though, surely you gotta give it a try if the option is there.

Bit pricey for a broken RS6, though.

You never pay asking price do you. There's been plenty done to that engine too, so that could be worth a fair bit, and the box could be a low cost fix.

Maybe, but other people's mods aren't really very desirable. This is a bit different because we know who did them and what was done. Generally speaking though, heavily modified cars make me run in the other direction.

You have to assume that the box is completely toast.

Funnily enough I was thinking about that last night as I was doing some work on mine. So mine has new box, new turbos, Wagner intercoolers, Koni Shocks, Hotchkis ARBs, Bufkin Pipe, 10mm spacer, Miltek Exhaust. And I was wondering whether this makes the car more desirable as it fixes the things that Audi got wrong, or less as it's no longer stock.
