As already stated, just an arse covering exercise. My last R32 had full milltek system. It passed emissions ok, but had to be properly warmed up to do so. The sound was awesome. Would love to hear a 6 with a full system fitted
'53 RS6, KW V3's, Milltek cat back. Here for a while!
'65 Splitscreen bus - gone
'53 R32, too much spec to list, 279bhp -gone
'53 R32, standard - gone

A full what system? by what you have said I am assuming a full DECATTED system, not a full system with their sports cats, such as I have. I get oodles of lovely noise, great performance and my emissions are through the floor on every emissions test.
Current:

23' C8 RS6 Vorsprung - 23' RS E-Tron GT Carbon Vorsprung

Gone:

"Brutus"- C5 RS6 Avant - MRC stage 2 - Milltek non-res + 100 cell cats - Wagner ICs - PSS9 - H&R ARBs - OZ Superturismo LM - C6 Custom brakes - HD RNS-E - Various other bits - 555PS/832Nm
"Taz"- C7 RS6 - MRC stage 2 745PS/1095Nm
12' Cayenne Turbo, B7 RS4, S3, Cupra R, XJR, EVO VII, STI8,5,2&WRX, 106 GTI&XSI, other crap.

The 6 passed the emissions test easily on the last MOT (September) and that's after being de-catted!
Still had the pre-cats at that stage though so they must be efficient; next MOT will be a whole new ball game with the Millie dp's fitted, better start making a good friend of the local tester :bigblink:

So, it wasn't in actual fact fully de-catted when it passed the MOT, don't go confusing people that struggle to read more than the first sentence of a post ;). I don't get why people bother with the de-catting gamble. Been there, done that with a number of cars over the years (including the current japcrapmobile) and it is just a pain in the arse.

Pretty much first job on the to do list for anything turbo'd afaic, anything constricting the flow through the engine is costing ponies, not quite as cut & dried on a n/a engine where some back pressure is required.
I know what you mean by keeping legal, far less of pita but these emission regs really nark me when they interfere with efficiency

Unlivable is the short answer. It's truly an ear shattering sound.

Type "Darth vs ASBO" into the tube searchbar, that'll get you there.

I eventually had two huge silencers with a cabin mounted switch put in. When silenced it sounds like cream, a lot better than a Miltek, when bypassed, it's still a very, very angry son of a whore.
It comparison, the manual 778PS avant gives me a headache on anything longer than 30mins driving.
