Gear box refurbed by 517 2013 mod!

I can’t see anywhere on the 517 website where they state it’s ‘bulletproof’.

Pricing for the upgrade(s) are below:

Valve Body Recalibration 1140 Yes 900.00
Torque Convertor 1150 Yes 650.00
Transmission 1160 Yes 5,098.00

So, I am assuming that Panda is only paying for the transmission; hence, using the old ACE – still crazy, but it helps make sense of her logic. I thought she was just going to lob the 517 TC in the skip.

Gearbox is stripped so I have been told. Just waiting for the cost of shipping to the UK to be confirmed. As this is a spare box I am not in an instant hurry for a quick turn around...............mine is still working!

What did you decide about the TC in the end?

The gearbox will come with a 517 TC as 517 expressed concerns over warranty but I have had other advise that it doesn't matter which one is fitted but we will see!

It's more depressing than exciting. It was merely 'interesting' when Daveperc had it done for the first time. This was one of the threads that made my mind up to go C6, I really don't have enough love for the C5 to spend £6/7k on an updated box for it.
