yea i guess so its prob best to just bite the bullet and pray all goes well ill probley get it done when the cambelt gets done in a couple of months, to be fair its had a new valve body a few months ago so id guess an oil and filter change would have been done then or am i way off?

Yeah, the fluid will have been changed. If they weren't too dumb, they would have changed the strainer, too. But I wouldn't bet the ranch on it.

Audi refused to believe the strainer existed until I shoved the part number in their face. Made them do the whole box oil change on my A8 again, I was only 17 at the time.

Who did the repairs/ valve body change?
previous- Pug 205 gti, 306 gti, 309 gti Goodwood.
Audi S3, S4 V8 avant.
Porsche Macan Turbo.
Gone but NEVER forgotten - C5 RS6 Misano red avant.

Now - Empty garage

ATF and strainer were changed at the end of March this year on 67k miles. It's just about to hit 70k.

I'll only be doing about 6k miles a year in it so it sounds like March 2014 is when I should get it changed again... if it lasts that long. :)
