No, they do not come apart. Loba are about to release some new disks that do come apart.

I think because the car has them for dipped then you are gonna most likely be OK. It is on one with no levels or washers that you might get unstuck. Mine passed last month without a hitch :)

Guys, what H size are the bulbs? I haven't got the time or inclination to check :(. I have only had enough spare time this week to fit a sum total of 6 LED bulbs, yep, about 5 mins :(. Guessing H7 bulbs.

Going to order a kit but pay Park Lane in Alton to fit them for me as cba :D

Edit, scratch that. Park Lane refuse to fit HIDS4U kits anymore. They say they have proven to be too fragile overall and on a lot of cars they have not been a quick '15 minute' etc fitting job on a lot of cars. They have had to take up to a couple of hours to fit the units safely in some circumstances and with all the warranty claims they were getting on them they have decided it isn't worth it for them anymore.

Thanks :).

Spoken to Plans Motorsport in Dunsfold and they honestly reckon that I need to be looking at around 2 hours for them to fit it is all goes well. They have said that this was based on not seeing what they are up against but once I mentioned that the system was part HID already they said that may make things a bit easier for them for some reason. Nice guys tbh. They were also realistic about the kits and didn;t actually recommend them. With things all built to a certain quality on this car I don't want to start ghetto modding things even if I won't see them, would rather know it was all solid & pretty ;)

The HID kit I got were pretty easy to install, and I would agree there are a lot of cheap nasty ones out there. It is hard to show via the forum how mental they are! If they die they were under 100 quid, chicken feed in RS6 money terms.

I got the lowest Kelvin because they are the brightest. The main beam needs the reflector type.

Yeah, don't go blue for God's sake.

It does say A6 2005 on in that link. You checked they'll fit?

With half these sites it is hard to tell which things are right. If somebody actuall lows the exact kit go go with through the make/model selector then please, be my guest :) All I want is the most powerful/best ones that can be shoehorned in there PROPERLY ;)

Thanks for that code :). Idiot question but just to confirm, on my RS6 I DO NOT have to order the CAN BUS-compatible kit?
el_ringo wrote:I got the non CAN bus 55W from hids4u with their normal ballast size.
I have to visit a client in Shamley Green at the end of the month so am using it as an excuse to get the lights as I will be close to Dunsfold, must be a sign from god to get them done so who am I to argue with that logic ;)

CAN BUS - http://www.hids4u.co.uk/H7-55w-Ultimate ... 7ULT3.html

NON CAN BUS - http://www.hids4u.co.uk/h7-55w-pro-max- ... n-kit.html

Ringo, if you fancy going and looking or if you know, when you have all 4 going, are the shades exactly the same, as in the OEM ones in there are also 5000k or are they slightly different, as in 6000k? Not that anyone would see but I might sacrifice a little bit of light for matching colours. Doubt I would though as I want max power but useful to know for others if non-matched light colurs make their teeth itchy ;)

Thanks.

I was very interested in one of these big brake upgrades myself but am holding off as I might be going a different route personally. Amanda and a few others are running Unit20's kit though and there have been some discussions on here if memory serves.

I just popped out to check but the camera just cannot pick up the colour or speed of the flash :(

For the first 7-8 seconds the main beam HID looks a tad blue but then gets to max brightness and in my opinion is a match.

Where are you based Nick?
