Many thanks.. the site you gave me the link to has a "pro pack" its only a touch more, is it worth it?

I don't think so. The one time I needed the 2x2 adapter I made one up from bits I had lying around.

ok, the front brake pad warning light intermittently comes on and now the brakes are squeaking, I`ve tried searching online for c5 rs6 squeaky brakes and have found a plethora of explanations from new brakes having a squeal and I need to do several hard brakes to clear films to you need new discs and pads which incidentally were fitted prior to me purchasing the car on the 14/10.

Add to that the airbag light came on but is now off again..its like a tombola when you start this thing up, you never know what lights will be flashing..lol :audibash:

Mine squeel sometimes and make some odd noises when coming to a halt. I just don't worry about it. As long as they work when I need them :)

not steam as such..heat haze I suppose, certainly felt hot when undoing the reservoir cap. I assume in answering posterboys question that the pads are OEM.

Bizarrely they can also come on if you've got a problem with the MAFs or a lot of unmetered air getting into your engine (normally when MAFs are not seated correctly). Go figure.
I think that's something to do with how the traction control works, at a guess there is a fuel/air mixture change that reduces power but without knowing the amount of airflow it gives up and doesn't both hence the warning light comes on.

Are maybe the car is just saying, look somethings not right I can't help so slow down. :biggrin3:
