Surely items from names such as Miltek, MTM and Viper etc are on your purchase list? Stonking colour BTW...the best! I found that having (or not having) a tracker did bugger all insurance premium (I'm with Admiral) so spent the money on some new rubber instead...

For the time being it will say standard but Hotckins ARB and a Milltek are possible along with a MRC or Viper TCU/ECU. I wanted to keep it standard being such a low mileage plus, but if I'm not selling I suppose I don't have to worry about resale? The sports exhuast sounds fairly good anyway.
I'm going to be with admiral too and although it makes no difference to the premium, chances are, if the worst did happen, I wouldn't be able to find a plus with similar miles easily so I'd just want mine back. It's going to be parked locked away out of sight every night anyway, I've beefed up security before this baby arrives.

I've just about given up for the moment mate. I'd love a C5 but the problem is the ones that fall within my budget range are ones that it seems I wouldn't want to buy: either there's something wrong with them or they're in need of imminent expensive maintenance.

Yes, I could increase my budget but this is supposed to be a relatively short-term switch to a German V8 of some description with the aim being to get a B7 RS4 when finances allow. For that reason I don't want to spend too much making the change.

To be honest I still cannot believe how much louder and fruitier the sport exhaust on the Plus is over the standard RS6. Normally I'd say Milltek straight away but cars like the Plus, RS5 and R8 V10 don't actually need one!

You can always put the OE stuff back on if you want to. Once the cherry's been popped on your ECU, though, there's no hiding it. you could always source a 2nd ECU and have that one tuned.

I think badmans is selling one :biggrin3:

How will this effect my warranty direct policy? Also does the RS 6 have K03 or K04 turbos?
I'm very tempted, I've asked my family to chip in for a Plus numberplate for my birthday instead of the remap though!

If you want to get bigger turbos, then why not look at the Loba stuff?

I'm not going to upgrade the turbos, was just curious as to what they have as standard.

Thanks Marv, all the docs are in order. I'm confirmed to collect it at 6:30 PM tomorrow. Time is going so slow. I wish I could just fall asleep until then, but not sure what my boss what say to that. Already being slated in a jokey sort of way at work for being young, unmarried and buying 'an estate' my girlfriend has been surprisingly supportive and almost as excited as I am, I've promised her a drive before I get the wheels refurbished. Should make a change from her 57 plate 1.4 Corsa auto which she's had for years.
