How much are the B8 shocks?

If you can get pss9 at anywhere near the B8 price plus springs, you'd be mad to pass it by.

From Bilstein directly

B14 kit £901

B16 kit £1473

Or

B8 shocks (but for S6) £130 a corner then second hand drc springs £200. Then have those powder coated and get spring plates and bump stops.

£710 for b8 shocks and springs.
Powder coated £100
Then spring plates (if needed)
And bump stops. So presumably £900 or just over.

So if the b14 kit has the same damping as b16 on 4 it’s about the same cost. Or then chuck the extra £400 and b16

I personally would rather have b8 and oe springs than b14, based purely on the comments I’ve heard (or rather the memory of them) about the b14. That’s if the b16 wasn’t an option.

Doubt it. Can't you just use the OE ones? You'll need some new mounts anyway.

Check the pics in my post, the S6 dampers come with spring plates F&R. All you need is some bump stops.

Sorry to interrupt but just bought this setup as I was thinking of trying the Konis. Wasn't sure what the springs were from the advert but looks like they are original DRC ones. Paid £235 including postage so even to get the springs wasnt too bad. The old H&R on mine are absolutely terrible now, shocks are from 2013 according to the Sticker on these and the car they came off did 37k from then to now. As I'm not knowledgeable on them would it be worth getting them rebuilt as Konis are meant to have a lifetime guarantee or are they just not worth doing anything with? Also if I were to use them what is missing and where would I get the parts from? Any feedback appreciated from you knowledgeable people.

The lifetime guarantee out here is the life of the damper, not for ever. For me, really depends on the cost. You can easily end up with grandfathers axe just because you can replace all the parts if needed. With labour, that'll be expensive. They certainly look better than most I've seen but personally I'm for new in the brake and suspension field.

What are the paint stripes on the springs?

Well, they're not B16 because there are no adjusters on them.
