Srichards. Who do you normally use.
I really enjoy going to u20.
Really knowledgeable
Fantastic customer service.
No compromises. If they do it you know it has been done right, and any parts used are the proper parts.
And I also enjoy giving the car a good run there and back.
Regards. Steve.

I normally use PSI Tuning in Staffordshire. They're a bit closer for me and they have loan cars so it makes it easy to drop it off and pick it up when it's done. They're shut due to Covid and I just managed to get the cambelt and water pump done before they did.

Ironically 20 years ago I used to live in Chester and a good friend lived in Neston. 15 mins and 5 mins away from u20 respectively.
At that time it was always company cars and never needed to use garages.
So it’s like home from home for me and enjoy the 2.5 hour drive each way.
Gives me another excuse to drive the most enjoyable car I have ever had.
They are just addictive.

In addition u20 is small which means you get a very personal service. Unlike the large AMD where you don’t see anyone other than the receptionist.

Update. Just waiting for a price from grizz.
Still no drops of coolant on the drive and level just below maximum.
Must be a slight leak when the system is pressurised.
Start saving up for the next bill.

This is actually a good point ! My visit to MRC, I didn't see anyone other than the girl on reception. Any questions I had about anything couldn't be answered or talked about as she didn't have a clue and nobody else was around to talk to. Makes a big difference I think.

Mark. I always feel involved with what is being done to my car at unit 20. That is exactly how I like it.
Just pulling into the car park fills you with confidence as RS cars everywhere.
On top of that Martin and the team (of three) are the most honest guys I have ever met.
At AMD I was totally divorced from everything except for paying a extortionate bill at the end.
And the invoice was so vague I didn’t really know what had been done
The final straw was being charged £800 for a service that turned out to be nothing more than a oil and filter change.
And after that the next morning my new driveway was covered in oil.
Not happy.

Bugger...I’m now in the same boat. I moved the car yesterday and noticed a small (10 pence piece size) drop of coolant on the floor. Dripping from the ‘flap’ in front of the OSF wheel. 😢😢😢😢😢😢

I’ll be making a phone call to QST later.

Anyone any ideas of probable cost and time to do...and any recommended ‘enhancements’ to do at the same time???

You sure it's coolant? That's where the AC condensate drips, too.

Hope your leak isn’t as costly as mine is going to be.
Still maintaining max level on mine. So in theory I could probably live with it.
But now I know there is a problem I will have to get it fixed. Unit 20 currently putting parts together.
Will then pay them a visit and then problem solved.
Keep my fingers crossed for you.

What's the situation of yours, Steve? Has it been diagnosed?

Hi Shop. Was at unit 20 2-3 weeks ago for a full service and diagnostic on leak
Leakage on radiator and auxiliary water pump ( provides cooling to the turbos).
Also Means that the cooler and hoses will need to be replaced.
Showing two radiator options. 1 at £550 ish may be available. If not the one that is available is £1000 ish.
Unit 20 ordered a radiator. Spoke to Martin this week and we are awaiting delivery.
As stated above leak appears to have stopped for the time being. Very strange.
Be glad when it’s all done. OCD again
Best regards. Steve.

Fatneck73. Hope yours is the a/c unit as Shop has said.
That is exactly the location where my a/c tends to deposit excess condensation.
Hopefully it is clean water and not red in colour
Fingers crossed for you.

Suspect it's the oil filter housing / cooler unit. Buffkin mod is the answer if so.
