Can anyone recommend a company in North Kent/South East London to provide a similar service please?
I don't mind travelling a bit to see someone decent.

Thanks.

Anything is better than the standard exhaust as it's whayy to quiet and doesn't let the v8 growl out :bigblink:

Cheers Bam. I was thinking about using them for the oil service as they seem to have a good reputation on here.

I'll see what they say.

Wow!
That really does sound great!
Much deeper. The Barry White of RS6's, huh??? LoL

Talking of unfairly quite V8 engine (exhaust) notes.... I have a Daimler Super V8, and it's got 7.... yes SEVEN silencers.... or should we say KILLJOYS!!!! LoL
she literally is silent on the road, even at full pelt with her (only!) 400BHP!
I've never got round to modding her, but maybe one day... that would be my first move i think!

Great Job, Ian.... I might even try that WITH the Milteks i already have on the RS!!! Hmmmm..... :biggrin3: :biggrin2:
I've finally got my head together but now my body is falling apart!

I did it my way as a *very* cheap alternative to the Millteks but if I already had some I'd consider getting QTP exhaust cutouts instead for around £450-550 (best brand but expensive) rather as a much simpler method for getting the same noise without the faff of manually changing bits over (now down to 10 mins too!).

If you're near oxford/cotswolds etc and fancy a quick listen just let me know.

Excellent mod. I've been wanting to do something like this to mine for a while as I'm happy with the performance but could just do with a little more drama - and particularly good that you can switch back to stock without much hassle.

Great writeup and comparison videos too.

Anyone tried this with stock (or Milltek) tips?

Cheers for the info about QTP Ian but it looks like the only dealer in the UK is Nemesis UK. Do you happen to know of any others please that will supply and fit?

Thanks.

Met up with Spurtle last week and he seemed to like them which is nice :D

Here's some pics and a final video -

Raised the car and found that the rear left silencer had already been replaced and an Audi sleeve used.

Image

Using that pre-existing cut we copied it on the right pipe and removed both silencers

Image

We then made up a straight through pipe with quad tips (the ovals the garage had were tiny) and these were joined using sleeves so that I can quickly/easily swap them over to the stock silencers when/if's needs be.

Image

After leaving off the brace bar I found that one really was needed as the tips pushed out and melted the outsides of the plastic oval area so we the added the brace bar back on to finish the job.

Did a short video with a few drive-bys on -

I don't mind those slash cut quads, they're the best I've seen... then again, I am a bit drunk.

Does anyone know what tips they are? I checked Jetex, custom chrome etc and can't find them. These ones are handed, with one tube longer than the other?

They were custom fabricated Matt, not off the shelf. If you took your car to an exhaust fabricator and showed them they could replicate it.

I'm not sure Ian visits these forums now he's sold his car :(

I know the pipes were - but you reckon just the tips were too? I expected the tips to be from a supplier.
