Sorry to sound like a dummy, but I'm thinking of getting the Aukey unit from Amazon. But where do you connect it to?

Does anyone have a photo showing where it connects? I'm sure plenty of people would find that useful.

I need to sort something out so I can listen to my music via Bluetooth, the radio is usually a waste of time.

Cheers guys.

Would help if you told us what head unit you are using.

RNS-D I believe. It doesn't have the SD card socket. I've got the CD changer in the boot (LHS) and the TV tuner below the CD changer I believe.

Couple of options, then.

The cheapest and easiest is probably getting the Kufatec Aux-in adapter (or similar) for the TV tuner and then get an Aukey car receiver (like the one I just bought - subject to my pending assessment). Then you just plug the Aukey into the Tuner, select TV from the head unit and you get sound. BUT, the sound quality isn't brilliant through the TV tuner for some reason. http://www.kufatec.co.uk/shop/en/car-hi ... r-tv-tuner

Or you could get an xcarlink. There is a bluetooth option (pricey), but on mine it doesn't sound good when you stream to it. OK for a hardwired connection though.

You could use the xcarlink and Aukey (like I am planning to do).

There might be an aux in adapter that replaces the CD player. Not sure if you want to lose the CD player, though, and I have no direct experience of it. Again, the Aukey will plug into this adapter.

/edit: Kufatec also sell that last. http://www.kufatec.co.uk/shop/en/car-hi ... rns-d-navi

My Aukey also turned up, just need to find out where I can get the adaptor for the TV tuner so I can use it. I'm surprised there isn't an AUX input directly on the TV tuner module as you can select it from the menu.

I know, thanks for that but they seem to be out of stock. I'll check again in a few minutes and hopefully order one.

Thanks for your help with this.

There are others, not sure of quality though. Found this after a quick google:

Or you could always make your own if you're handy with a soldering iron and be bothered to find the Audi part number for the flat connector. I bet it'd work out more expensive than buying one of the Kufatec ones though.

Actually, I wonder if the TV tuner connector has an empty flat connector in it. I can't remember, it was that long ago since I did mine. If so then you coudl just get the pins from Audi for pence and make your own connector. You only need audio, so 4 pins, and a female 3.5mm jack socket. Like this and cut the RCA connectors off:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/3-5mm-Stereo-So ... ack+socket

Or just plug and play with the Kufatec.

I went for the BR-C3 in the end. I'm chasing Kufatek to see if they can supply the adaptor.

OK, I've ordered the Kufatek adaptor so hopefully I should soon have all the bits I need to get Bluetooth music up and running.

The next thing will be to get the TV tuner out of the car and work out where all the leads need to connect. I'm going to try and wire everything in alongside the CD changer and put the Aukey unit behind the panel in the boot. That should give a neat solution hopefully. I know I lose the ability to control the Aukey unit from the front of the car but I can't be bothered with routing the cable through the entire car.

I'll try and get some pictures as I do the job and post them in case it helps others facing the same dilemma.
