SO, it seems there's a difference of opionion here about PSS9's ??

I was of the opinion that Bilstein PSS9 B16's were the best ones to fit a C5 RS6?

Or is it Suspension Kit, coil springs / shock absorbers SPORT KIT
ARTICLE №: 1140-7984 (think that's the correct ones, please correct me if I'm wrong :-)) with stock springs?

Can somebody help me make my mind up!!! as I'm on the brink of making a decision...

I don't want a hard as nails, rattle your bones ride, but prefer a comfy ride, but also one that handle well when you have the need for speed too!

B16s probably best. KWs too tricky to adjust once on the car. H&R tend to sag like Chunky's mum is sat in the back.
No matter where you go, there you are.

I like the Pss9s, but they can be a little hard. Shopp has said he likes the rode on his and isn't too hard.
As bam said, the h&r do tend to sag and look turd.

I like the look of the B16's as you can adjust the damper too, as well as the ride hide of the springs, and I've read on the forum that 4 is the best setting for comfort and handling

Yeah, 4 seems to be the best setting for everyday use. Forgot to add, i'm running aftermarket wheels with lower profile tyres, Shopp is still on OEM I think.

Yes, I'm on OEM. I'm happy with the ride overall. Just don't like hitting the bump stops in the bigger dips and humps. That could be because I've got my suspension set at OE height though.

Hit a flipping huge pot hole on the A456, I'm sure it's the exact same one I hit at 1am in the morning about 4 months ago, when my DRC was working! Wonder if I should put in a claim for my PSS9's against the road tax people!!! Good job they aint on yet, they've arrived today and looking good, all the way from the Netherlands, thinking of getting Autotechnik to fit them in B'ham.

I remember driving my old RS6 around on the PSS9s and I wasn't fond of it.

My car wasn't excessively low but it was low enough that if you really started to get on it with country roads, the suspension just bottomed out all of the time. I hated it! It was great on smooth tarmac roads but otherwise it was horrible.

I tried winding them up but everything was seized solid so they needed rebuilding.

That said, I drove a friend's RS6 not long after which was on stock DRC and as we were driving on country lanes at speed, under braking the front suspension bottomed out just once. I don't know if the DRC was working as intended on his car but looking at the rest of the car, I wouldn't be surprised if had leaked all of the pressure out of the system.

The idea of stock springs and Koni shocks appeals to me :)

I've just re-doing my Konis, having powdercoated the springs and rear upper wishbones. Rear lowers will have to wait on me sourcing some new bushes for them - pig to find/get hold of.

Anyone seen this seller on ebay, seems to have a lot of stuff for the RS6 too http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2x-Shock-Abso ... 4897b6364a

He does the front suspension mounts/rubber bushes which I need, and much cheaper than the dealer stealer! Any thoughts?
