Even if it's not the right one you can get an C5 A6 faceplate for it.

Erm, didn't they stop making the C5 in 2004?

I think it is just a bit of a crapshoot but I thought the same Shopp. It doesn't matter either way to me if it doesn't fit, I will simply return it or figure out what it is for properly and pimp it on. Strangely enough (not), the guy has excellent feedback and has been quick to ask me for contact number for the courier etc and has shipped already, yet has been too busy to reply to my messages asking for C5 confirmation...

OEM FTW. You can get DAB Radio/Bluetooth/Digital TV/Voice Control/SD Cards/Cameras and updated 2012 maps for the RNS E with TMC and a Snooper thing. What more do you aftermarket guys want from a head unit? Audi still put essentially the same RNS E in the latest '12 models IIRC.

Even if it's the 2010 post March model (hi res maps etc), it can still be made to work/fit (pop the current surround off to swap to a C5 A6 surround). it's been done. I'm 99% certain there's one on RS6 dot COOOOOM.

The C5 fascias. My plan was to buy a 2011 TTRS unit, put an A6 face plate on it then sell my old RNS E on. But I couldn't find any C5 face plates for sale...
