00819 - High Pressure Sensor (G65)
29-00 - Short to Ground
That's the one I had with mine. I remember why my bumper was off now, cambelt service.

Have you got Vagcom?

I had the same issue with the G65 sensor and it went into economy mode. The fault code indicated it was an intermittant fault, so reset the code, got my aircon back and 4 months later still working fine.

Yeah I have a Vagcom but it's not a high end one. .. Good enough though I reckon?

I've tried erasing the code but it's back instantly as soon as I check again. It says 00819 (G65) high pressure sensor static - open/short to positive

Air-con problem

Post by Russellj80 » Tue Mar 05, 2013 6:04 pm

For everyone else's benefit ill put up a few pics. I should have taken some pics while doing it but at least you will see the location. Bearing in mind this is an "03" plate RS6.
Also the very helpful man at Audi sent me an exploded diagram of the A/C system which I'll put up as well. Looking at the diagram it looks like the switch is sitting left of the condenser (driver side) ... but on my car it was on the right side of the condenser (passenger side) go figure? Anyway everything is working fine and I'm happy :)

You can just see the gray/silver part of the switch sitting left of the headlight. Accessible once you remove the cover down the side of the radiator.
