Personally I think you should do both!!

Why?? Well nothing to do with the car actually - but we need plenty of people to get out there and spend money so that the economy picks up and we all stop feeling so miserable about life!!

So do your bit for GDP and spend some money today!! Oh, and if you haven't got any money, then a bit of robbery helps too (higher crime rates also increase GDP ironically!!).

So go for it Nick - your country needs you!!

Dave, I have no idea if you are being serious or just think that I am a bit of a moron and are having a chuckle at my expense, probably both! :D

Are waggers produced in the uk then? Assumed they were from ze germans!

These are my next mod along with new cats (you beat me to it) I will be keeping the spots. You may sacrifice some airflow I guess but think it keeps the oem look

Nope, they are made in Germany. Marv, are you going for most wrong posts award? :)

Neither! But I can see you love modding the 6, and couldn't come up with any better car related reasons than those already posted, so thought I should cheer you on your way with other possible reasons to keep going!

Personally I would love to put them on mine, but could only justify if the OEM (repaired) ones failed - and even a cold bath failed to disturb them! I reckon Doug could ring another 10BHP out of my map if I did them - so it's just a matter of time.

I would also like to go RNSE but the current unit is perfectly servicable, and when I add the X-car link in a few weeks it will be able to provide all the functionality I need with iPod.

Dave

PS - the stuff about GDP is all accurate BTW!!

Now we are talking about modding...
Sportec AG had rebuilded the whole engine and transmission software to squeeze the maximum 600hp output, what we call the RS600 complete car. Sportec had replaced the intercoolers, turbochargers and full exhausts with the larger ones. They also did polishing the headers and some small mods on the cooling system like front lower vents or oil cooler.

Here's how I configured it. A lot more air, but still fogs behind.

GDP Only includes products produced in the country measured - as waggers are German we would only benefit from the import tax and all the readdies footlong is handing over to MRC for fitting them

Thanks for that Amanda, I had paid so little attention to the front of my car since it sits face first against the garage door, that I had to go out and see if I had the front housing around my fogs or if yours was some aftermarket one!

Keihin, that is EXACTLY what I was thinking of doing, thanks! Could you confirm though that the grilles do not touch the actual lenses? Concerned that if I do actually use the fogs, that I won't melt the grilles on to them after prolonged use.

Also, that housing looks standard, it is just what the lens sits in and then there is the front part that fits on, a la Amanda's pics?

The only real reasons for me going RNS-E are for the hopefully more advanced/faster route guidance and the fact that it has a better resolution etc and can play MP3 etc. Will still need to add on DAB and VIM to control that though. I keep looking at the ones on Ebay from Lithuania etc but all that money to potentially get one with a dying laser. Not sure if I would be in any better position getting one provided and fitted by the likes of CraigyB (http://www.tclsatnav.com/) or Hazzy Dayz (http://www.vwcruise.com/) but anyway.

Get a tomtom. Miles better than RNS-E and about 5 times cheaper. I only use my navi if all my tomtoms are broken (sadly, a far too regular occurence). I remember one trip to the ring following my mate with RNS-E and I had to take the lead because his RNS-E didn't know what road we were on in Belgium. I think it was the E34. Only like the most major road in Belgium :bash:

I have installed the wagners using the fog light delete grill and removed the fog lights.

I beleive from my experience that the wagners do reduce heat soak.

Meth spray kits are the ultimate way to ensure no heatsoak and cooler charge as advised by other posters. I have not installed.

The wagner supplied mesh grilles are metal, so I cant see how fog lights can melt them.

A very well made product, but some minor cutting of the CF shroud required.

detailed installation on: http://www.rs6.com/showthread.php/21400 ... ntercooler

just my 2 cents worth.
