Exactly why I upped my budget and bought my one instead of Lig's RS6 when he was selling. While his was a nice example, it had higher mileage, was a smidge older and wasn't the best colour for us. The gearbox had been pretty well behaved during my ownership and had regular servicing. At the time of sale, I think I suggest £4.5k if it did go pop and hence why I reduced the price. Probably stupid, but it just didn't seem right to sell it without making the buyer aware that no warranty and gearbox issues could be costly. You just never know with these days. Looks at the gearbox life thread and you'll see there's no rhyme or reason to gearbox failure. I'm still sacrificing chickens to the Audi god to keep my box going strong.
