Can't give a technical explanation but all I can go on is how they feel to me. When shedding speed from well up the speedo, it just feels like the pads build up heat or just lose stickiness fairly quickly. For short hardish dabs on the brakes the Mintex cope ok but for anything requiring more than a few seconds on the pedal (old/blind people pulling out on you on Dual Carriageways is a prime example), they just leaving me saying 'that was close' too much for my liking.

Again, short pedal dabs, hard or otherwise they are ok but prolonged speed shedding, poor for me at least. This is all subjective of course. Madam feels the same as she has had to slam the anchors on a couple of times and she isn't technical at all so for her to be basically saying the same thing to me is something. We all drive differently, I bought this car to have fun and drive as such. I am paying accordingly in upkeep of course ;)
Current:

23' C8 RS6 Vorsprung - 23' RS E-Tron GT Carbon Vorsprung

"Taz"- C7 RS6 - MRC stage 2 745PS/1095Nm

What you describe is exactly what i feel from my brakes, not sure what make they are but i'm betting they are Mintex i must strip them down and check before i get a remap.

What is the part number/source for these pads please? I like the sound of it feeling like I've hit a brick wall when using the brakes as I'll be on the autobahns in April. Safety first and all that.

Found the part number, HB609.572. £184 is the cheapest I've found so far.

I did reach 165mph on a few bits of autobahn, did a lot of 120/130mph bits, never did I feel the brakes to be lacking when needed, on Mintex. Then again, I rarely let myself be surprised by idiots, of which there are a lot even in Germany.
