My wife has an audi a3 3.2 (Same engine and chassis as mk 5 r32 golf) and it s very fast indeed, but my std rs6 is much faster, exept around very very tight twisty corners. Love both cars though.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but this is what I like to hear :FIREdevil:

R32, your having a laugh? I absloutly murdered a MK5.. the distance I pulled was unreal, you could have landed an A380 in beteeen us, it was an auto though iirc, belonged to a friend's cousin and he claimed he had his foot burried into the carpet.

An R32 will knock the spots of a C6 in anything but a straight line.
So a C5 is no contest... ;)

Well it was down a long straight to be honest, if I wanted a car for handling it would be an M3/911, I'm sure an R32 may out handle an RS 6, but it still has a much slower ring time.

sorry but thats cobblers, stuck behind one on a single lane A road, it then became dual carriageway at which point with him in front of me, he pulled out and overtook the lorry in front..I thought lets see how the old lady compares and I could tell he was giving it the beans as the rear squatted when he pulled out, he then shortly and very shortly thereafter had to pull left to let me overtake, he didnt know which way I went... :bigwave:

I had a play with a new gtr on the motorway and 70-150 (was nice and clear) nothing in it at all - however in anything but a straight line it would have smashed the RS's back end in and left something resembling a ripped out fireplace.
If I wanted a gtr I would have bought one, amazing as they are I went for the 6 - not for budget reasons but because I wanted one.
Personally I think for the size and weight they handle really well, brakes fade a bit on twisties (especially downhill) so bought the c6 kit to sort that. If you want to go fast round corners but a caterham - personally I like to sit in comfort, be able to carry 4 in comfort and still do almost 200mph if I want to.
