The last time i looked at this 568 upgrade it was £15k from MTM. an AWFUL lot of work.

Do you (as your name suggests) really blast it around skye..... I have a re-occurring dream of the road between Portree and Staffin....
Yes indeed, I do hail from Skye, down the South part though. Some splendid roads on Skye that's for sure, unfortunately at this time of year most of them are pretty much buggered with potholes and only suitable for a 4x4 :-(

This one shows the road quite well, and the other is the cottage.
Stayed there in November a few years ago- brilliant- no TV, irregular lectric, big log fire, case of good wine and all was well!

That is an amazing spot, I have driven past that cottage many a time. Is there a boathouse attached to it, or does it almost overhang the loch? I would also say that up there is one of the bleakest spots ever in the mid winter, but this year it would be pretty amazing with the almost constant clear days!
If you do come up at any point drop me a PM and we can have a 'mini-meet'. I am on home on Skye 5 months a year, the other 7 I am offshore at work, but if I'm about I would definitely be up for it!

Definately will!

The cottage walls are in the loch!

The week that we were there we had everything, we arrived in pissing rain, one night in the Isles pub in the corner of the square we had a power cut due the the hurricane that came thru, a couple of days later I was standing at Neist Point light house watching killer whales patrolling the minch in just me jeans and boots it was that hot and on the day we left we had 6" of snow!

i love the place, the people are great, and coming froma fishing village where most of Skyes wooden fleet was built i got on quite well, not to mention the lifeboat crew........

Anyhoo- i thought it was only idiots like me that were up at this stoopid hour!

The only one that's owning up, anyway ;) Nice off-topic by the way. That's pretty impressive going from custom exhausts to cottages on the isle of skye! Mooch, you're turning OT into a fine art :)

Loving it. Keeps us on our toes...

Those photos make me want to sell everything I own (except the 6 of course) and go and live in that cottage.

I know its cheesy but seeing as Skye is only small....... my mate lives in Portree and his family run the Urquhart Hotel. Do you know them by any chance? My mates name is Iain Urquhart and he's in the Marines. Would be a small world.

And YES a road trip would be awesome!
