Mission acomplished I would say.

How the hell did you restrain yourself on the French roads? Especially the A1, (if thats the way youy went to ED) If ever a road was made for the RS6, thats it.....

I did get busted on there tho in 2003 in my astra van, 206kmh! Cacked my pants as the Gendarme flicked thru his fine book and was very near the last page when he stopped, Balls I thought, this is going to hurt...... e60.00 on the spot fine :)
It's all Bollox.
Half of what you read is bull and the other half is all <beep>.

It was the main road down - all i did was follow satnav! It was hard to restrain from the speed creeping up.

Hi all,
This is my first post. I have been looking to buy a RS6 C5 Avant as a practical super fast car. I have come on here do some research and find what I need to know when looking to buy one. I decided to go for the Audi star ship as it would be well designed and reliable. I was expecting high maintenance costs for an Audi but it seems the 6 is more in line with a piece of Italian exotica and not much more reliable. Looks like the second choice of a M3 CSL is back in the running !!!

M3 CSL!!!! How practical is that with paper mâché for boot lining!!!!!! Nice car tho but not as practical as the RS6
RS6 (MRC'd with econodrive) is not just for Xmas
Toyota Aygo Platinum for minimising carbon footprint.

Nope not as practical but i will be able to keep my V50 sport SE for the practical stuff with the savings in running costs lol. I did like the idea of having a fairly stealth super estate but hearing that it's not very good on the twisty stuff isn't good news coming from a Elise 135R.

elises are sooo much fun. The 6 is good for inter galactic journeys and traffic light gran prixs......and to some extent stealth.

Elises are crap - put together by turnip farmers with stuff from parts bins from around the world ;)

I came from a pretty highly modded Elise and I have had excellent fun in the 6 on the twisties since. There's no way I'd go back to the smell of fuel, the constant breakdowns, the 4krpm at motorway speed and the lack of space.

Judging by your other choice of CSL, sounds like you've got different aspirations from the 'normal' RS driver. These cars aren't one-trick track monkeys :)

Looks like the way ahead is keeping the V50 and getting an E46 M3. I really thought the 6 would be a solid reliable super estate. But then i already knew the new S3 is a temperamental fragile beast.

Yep, the E46 is the way ahead, what with the plummeting residuals, rarity of numbers and 120ps down on the 6. I have a mate that went into the local Beemer dealership and asked for a new fuel filler cap for his M3. The salesman said, "sounds like a fair swap."

www.bm3w.co.uk sounds like its for you mate ;)
