Hi guys
Thanks for all the advice and help. I think I'm going to hold off running round "listening" until I get to the point where I actually need to do this - otherwise I'm just going to fall in love with the idea (and the sound) and then get frustrated waiting for the old exhaust to fail. However, when I get to the stage where action is needed I'll be sure to PM you all!
Cheers

Sorry guys, this beats the <beep> out of me!!!
Why buy a milltek, res or non res if you are worried about the excess noise? Just keep the original zorst......!
Surely the reason you buy a Milltek is to hear it- or am i missing something?

It's all Bollox.
Half of what you read is bull and the other half is all <beep>.

Well for me it's about power, not noise.
I would love to get an answer to the question Bobjebb posted a bit further up the thread: "What's the view on how to create biggest gains with the LOWEST increase in noise? Full/cat back etc...?"
That's exactly what I am trying to achieve.
For me the beauty of the beast is its Jekll and Hyde character - comfortable estate one minute, Porche eater the next - and I don't want to shout (or deafen myself) in the process!

FAIRY SNUFF!!!
my car is running about 510, maybe a bit more now my IC's are not leaking like a basket (grizz replaced both earlier this month) thats with a CC stage one map, full de cat, and milltek non res cat back (if their were any cats in theier
)
Its horses for courses obviously, my car is quite loud when you push her on over 5k, but not uncomfortable- you get more wind noise over 160 than you do from the engine.......
