Re: TA Technix Intercoolers
Another reason I had the original intercoolers recored and refurbished. I Didn’t want to lose the front fog lights.

Re: TA Technix Intercoolers
i'm ok without the fog.
i like the bigger intake as its more akin to the RS2.
i just don't like the idea of the WE branding on my car. it's debadged and as subtle as i can make it. putting Wagner Engineering on it seems kind of wrong.
seems that cutting out the WE won't work.
one day i'll work out a way to have them unbranded. maybe 3d printed.

Re: TA Technix Intercoolers
How big is the WE branding on your grilles? I can hardly see it even when I’m standing in front of the caranditsoundslikebells wrote:i'm ok without the fog.

I recently sold my fog light grilles etc, I knew they wouldn’t be going back on the car. Everyone’s taste is different, but personally I think the C5 looks better without the front fogs. The indents in the bumper blend into the grilles nicely. Future RS6’s didn’t have front fogs, so IDK

I know your car and like the build
I'll likely give in and fit the WE grilles

Wagner Intercoolers over here too, cant fault them. Also the fog delete and grills i didnt even noticed they were stamped with WE until the other day so i dont think its at all noticeable!

I like the OE foglight and grills. That's what I use with my Waggers.

Re: TA Technix Intercoolers
That would of been my ideal combination. But I had to look at cost as I was looking at other expenditure on the car at the same time.
New core technology and the job airtec did meant I was more than happy and very satisfied with the original coolers, for a mild stage 1 modified car.
Re: TA Technix Intercoolers
Yeah, there's no performance gain that I was able to measure from the Wagners. Probably a different story if you've got a more feisty engine developing more power. I bought them for reliability to get rid of the OE Swiss cheese version.

Re: TA Technix Intercoolers
i was wondering how they would do on power..
I am stage 2 but since that was done ive had tubular manifolds, apikol intakes and wagners.
Its due to go back to MRC this year hopefully if i get chance

This was when it was built in 2016.. I have since binned off the catback and had that rebuilt to something nicer but the tubular manifold seems absolutely fine.. Apparently the last guy spent over 7k on the exhaust

I’m thinking as I have a spare Westfalia on my S6 I may have a go at moving it across (strictly no cutting
