Well those headers/manifolds/extractor are pretty poo!
Those don't look like stock heads.
Still, you can't argue with that output.
No matter where you go, there you are.

They are wrapped with heat wrap. Its a good idea when you are pushing a lot of power. Stops too much heat escaping the exhaust. Obviously protects items around it but also if you keep the heat in the exhaust then you keep your exhaust gas velocity high. Spools the turbos quicker, evacuates the cylinders more efficiently etc etc...

That wasn't my point. The manis on my GT30 manual are inconel and ceramic coated, the reasoning isn't lost on me. My reason for poo pooing these manifolds is the design; two-into-one before the collector.

These are stainless steel:

Ah I see. Although Inconel is bloody expensive. Not many people would take that plunge. Ceramic coating does do a better job than the wrap though...

4-2-1 isn't always ideal but it does make so slightly easier packing in a small engine bay. And really the difference you will see in performance won't be huge. Having the exhaust gas velocity through the turbos is the important bit.

Yeah, neither were cheap. I think the stainless ones cost me £2k and the inconel were £2650 plus another £600 in ceramic coating. Apparently, welding inconel is a lost art-form so I feel lucky to have them, they're a testament to just how all-out MRC went with this car.

I'm amazed there is that little difference in price. My old job in the oil and gas industry we used Inconel a lot and it was typically about 5 times the cost of 316 stainless for the material. Its also a pig to machine as it bogs up the tools regularly so generally need a new one for each job. Welding it isn't too bad if you've done it before. Easier than Aluminium. As long as you have the right filler.
