But it's not an "up to date" car; keep it original.

As for the "stereo" if you have Bose amp and speakers you're potentially into a whole world of hurt trying to change anything so best not to.
You can get add-ons for streaming etc. if you really need them.

Well Ive done a fair few miles recently shes now just rolled on to 99k . Not alot to report really she still running nicely just a couple of minor things , drivers side intercooler is leaking and the horn has gone quiet ! Not too sure whats causing that, could it be the connection to it?
Going to try and have a look at this at the weekend.

I have bought the bigger miltek exhaust tips in ready to use when doing the back box delete but for now think thats all the modifying I will be doing.

Bit of an update.
Finally had the back box delete done today and the bigger miltek tips installed. Kept the centre resonator which turns out to be a very good decision as its very loud as is.
Sounds so much better now you can hear the v8 properly.

Next job is the cambelt and service and get all the bits that can be changed whilst doing this job.

Hiya, yeah nice car, Yeah me too on the Shell club points lol!!!! Welcome to the club :-)

Mines black and black!
I've put a Pioneer bluetooth unit in my C5 2003 RS6 as am a bit of a gadget man and love to just stream music from my phone and have it connected to bluetooth. Also put a rearview camera in too. Helps with not running my cat over when parking on the drive :-)

I'm thinking about replacing the rear door speakers for upgraded units, if anyone can recommend anything?

Have had Bilsteins put on, as the DRC went. Mainly use mine on the weekends, but definitely smiles for miles, till I think about the money on fuel tax!! If we didn't have to pay 70% tax on fuel it would be a breeze! The extortioners! Hopefully the gearbox is going to last!

Can anyone recommend a place to get engine bay bolts and pipes for these cars, or should I make a trip to an Audi dealer for these things?

Depends exactly what you're replacing. Lots of the suspension bolts are an odd shape & size, so I always use OEM. If you're just talking about rocker cover bolts and the like, you can find plenty of smart stainless ones though.

Thought I do a bit of an update- 1 year of ownership - time really does fly!

9000 Miles done , the car has behaved fairly well, other than servicing/consumables the only things that needed seeing to is leaking intercoolers and a new undertray to replace the cracked old one.

It went it for a bit of an overhaul at unit 20 last month, service, cambelt, thermostat, waterpump etc all done. New intercoolers installed, new rear discs and ferodo ds2500 pads installed.
The ferodo pads have just about bedded in and what a difference!

Ive decided just to keep it as is now completely standard apart form the bilstein coilovers and the exhaust silencer delete. I just dont think its worth the risk of adding another load of bhp and torque on it, these arent getting any younger now.

I do get surprised by the odd car enthusiast that know what it is, I had a kid pretty much tell me the full spec and performance figures recently and even had people taking photos of it lol which I found a bit funny.

Still loving the car, the effortless power , the sound, not so much the running costs but its better than getting a new car on finance any day!
