Only just been able to have a quick look at ours, no idea how it comes apart. I have a 14lb sledge hammer that would help if needed.
Ps, hopefully picking up your presents tomorrow Stretch.

Schweet, thanks. She really is getting a bit sloppy in the handling department so those bits will be awesome. I had one of the angriest people in existence chasing after me in a caddy van with road rage all the way down the A331 yesterday morning in peak traffic and and a couple of times when toying with captain angry and selling him dummies, the handling expected from the barge was simply not there.

I had a look earlier too, think I am going to just bend over and give Camberley Audi £116 for the complete piece, no idea if there will be a difference in colour from aging/sun bleaching.

I had a bit of road rage today, nice when the idiots squirm when you get out and confront them. You should have just got out! Always wondered what I'd do if I got out and then someone like you got out

This was epic road rage, went the entire length of the A331 and half way back up it, it was hilarious but I did take off my watch, glasses etc about halfway through it all as he was continually indicating to me that he was going beat me up apparently, until I had enough and let him pull alongside me and see the size of me as you say.

When I eventually see you next I will actually tell you about it, it was brilliant.

It'd be comical watching Nick unfold from the car and then slow stretch up to his full height. I'd love to see a close up of their face.

If you keep up your training again Bam you will be about the same in shoulder width.... C5 clip is totally and utterly different size-wise and like Chunk, I can see no delicate way of taking the cover apart.

Nah width isn't as intimating at height and reach, both of which you have a ridiculous amount of. I'm about the same size now as I was at the ADI, you know, the infamous ADI. I'm currently cutting, just got down to 13%BF, shooting for 8/9%.

I am at well above 20%BF still, just haven't got back in the saddle at all post-treatment. I keep saying I will do it on such a date and shock horror, that passes. Madam needs to get her Bawonkadonk (yes, correct spelling) back on a treadmill and I will follow suit. I am about 15kg heavy currently.

Screw all that having to watch what you eat and drink saftness. Have you ditched that ball bag hair from one's face? That should knock 1kg off.
ADI, wonder if it's worth trying to fluff MrT up this early to try and sort out a better plot and see if we'd be allowed back to the Gala dinner??

Bringing this back from the dead, I finally got around to biting the bullet and ordering the whole top from Audi.

Gave them the VIN, they told me £123 or so and that they couldn't refund i once ordered, fine I said. Just picked this up today, went straight back in and said that the leather was clearly quite different, to which the guy at Camberley Audi parts told me that it must be right as that is what the VIN told him.

Are any of you even remotely interested enough to comment? I will probably just butcher the clip from the new one to fit to the old one. Sheen is one thing, but the leather is visibly quite different on both sections prone to wear over time and sections that that wouldn't traditionally get worn. The guy wouldn't even come out to the car to see what I was wittering on about....

I appreciate this won't make you feel any better, but you could have got one for just over a tenner.

I got one of these and side by side found it to look just as good. It looks identical to your new OEM one (or at least, the one I got, did). I agree that the pattern is different - but I couldn't find anything including OEM that had the exact same leather texture as the 2003 version.

To be fair to the parts guys, he's definately supplied you with the right part number - it's just Audi Germany have obviously "updated" the leather pattern.

I am not pissed off about the money i spent, after looking around I decided sod it, do it OE and have the very best chance of getting it right first time....

Since i will be butchering the new one to get the clip assembly extracted, i will grab one of those Ebay ones too and butcher that first for practice, i am pretty sure how they are all held together, thanks.

Afaic, if the leather is different, then it isn't the right part/part number, simples.

That leather's like the newer model cars isn't it. Can you remove the leather part stretch? Without looking at ours I can't remember.
