It does indeed, but was also the one that meant they wouldn't insure it, apparently.

Oh, I will make sure I get a few more quotes for next Sep. I have been insured with Admiral for 8 years or so. Will be their loss

I don't know how different looking the upgrade is from the original but I would be surprised if post accident that an insurance company would necessarily inspect the vehicle in that much detail. Even if they did I imagine you would have to be pretty good to know it wasn't the OEM part........
Well said. Almost certainly far more hassle than its worth trying to explain every quote / renewal every year to the insurance company call centre agent who may not know what an anti roll bar is or does.

Swapping from one Audi-stamped anti-roll bar to a newer Audi-stamped anti-roll bar, you'd have to work on an Audi production line to spot the mod
If we're referring to the 'Merican made variety then the rear arb is adjustable between two settings; factory fitted ain't.
Agreed, it would take a well clued up inspector/assessor to notice but is it worth the risk?

I was pleasantly surprised by my renewal last month; £171 FC :thumb: , Privilege must class the beast as an old geezers tip trolley...

My insurance is sub-£300 on beast with Swiftcover as they say their records show that RS6 owners seem to be careful drivers........ :FIREdevil:

That is for me with 5 years no claims, 37, bint-in-tow at 31 on there too. As for declared mods, erm.....

Luckily they've never had to pay up for your wheels or it would push everyone's premium through the roof.

Likewise ,that's what I have for the ARB .Trouble is you have these conversations and explain what the situation is and it gets categorised under a heading which is ambiguous. Seems that you end up with no actual proof of what you declared to them which potentially gives them some wriggle room if there's a big payout on the horizon.

So true, in order to get off the shredded F1 carcass courtesy of dad's recent escapades in the car, the tyre guys lunched the finish on that alloy too a bit sadly. Had I known, I would have cut the flaming thing off with a dremel first :(.

Christ, I didn't hear with that, you've not had much luck with wheels and tyres lately.

When your dad borrows your car while you are in hospital, doesn't check the pressures on the tyres after sitting for almost 3 weeks, hits a pothole flattening the rear tyre, tells everyone in the car repeatedly in the car to shut up when they are telling to stop to check the car, drives for another 10 mins or so on it until the carcass has come 9 inches out from the wheel arch including rubbing lots of paint off, the end result is not pretty.

He brought the Marylebone Flyover to its knees for around 3 hours while trying to get the car recovered.

Went with Adrian Flux in the end. Worked out around the same price as Admiral would have been, yet all mods covered also (3 of the 4 vehicles)

If they were like that with the rs6 then what did they say about the B8?

'it's wider than the normal model'......

Amazingly, they were fine about it as the engine was "smaller" and there was an existing tick-box labelled "arches"...

I've just renewed my policy for £444 with Adrian Flux. I was insured with them last year but their renewal offer was £572. I did a fresh policy comparison and they beat their own renewal quote!!! Cover includes all mods declared, 6yrs NCB and (subject to photos) an agreed value-not sure what value to put on it though??
It was £50 cheaper to put the wife on it too!
PREVIOUS: Black Audi B6 S4 Avant. Custom exhaust (sounded amazing). Otherwise standard and near perfect.
PRESENT: Muggy '53 RS6 loon. MTM Stage2. KW3s. 100 cells. Milltek.
