Failing that get yourself some RS4 buckets with adjustable side and bottom bolsters. Pretty expensive solution, might be cheaper to get a new missus.

^

Those CG-Lock things are only £45 so I think we'll try one of those before investigating anything else.

Cheers all.

since you've had this problem with other cars as well, maybe the problem isn't the seat!?...:) on another note, i've seen someone using some kind of cushions that basically come over the actual seat and make it narrower so it would offer a tighter fit! I wouldn't mess with a harness, it would be way too uncomfortable for your lady!

If she won't go for the harness, how about trying a velcro top? A couple of strips on her back and a big patch on her bum should keep her in place. :biggrin3:

We've only had this problem in one other car - my B5 RS4 - and I think that was because the seats were almost identical to the C5's. I've also had a Mk4 Golf R32, a B6 S4, an E39 M5 and a W211 E55 and she didn't have this problem in any of them. :(

I find the cs in mine really supportive, way better than the seats in my old b5 which I think were the same as the standard c5's.

They look good, too.

How were they to install? Costly?

Car came with them, but from memory including the retrim to match the rest of the interior about 3 grand. Fitment wise they are on recaro subframes that use the original mounts.

I agree that the standard Recaros in the RS are a bit disappointing.

Quite comfortable on the motorway, but not particularly supportive when you are pusing on through the bends.

I'd like to have some adjustment on the boulsters.
I remember my mate's old M3 which had electrically adjustable boulsters which helped to adjust the support which was very useful.

Yup, my M3 has got those, too. The jury is still out on how effective they are though.
