Sadly the fuse is ok.
Like I said not sure how long it's been like this, didn't check before I started led stuff so have no idea if it is linked or not. Might explain why cops followed me for a long time a about a month ago.

It passed its mot so I guess it's recent

Swapped 5amp fuse with another just in case and no change

Also noticed bottom of drivers headlamp loose - was going to swap side light with LED version
Top of it is solid the bottom is all slack. Passenger side is fine

Thoughts?

You need to do a continuity check on the holders to see if the earth is ok and then check if you have power there. Check if your fog lights are working, could be the wiring to the boot lid.

yep, as chunk just said, next step is wiring to the boot.

have fun christmas eve!

on a side note, before i order some dectane, are they so yesterday?

if i'm going to led the car, i may as well go the whole hog and do the lot. problem i've found though is that aftermarket parts for these cars is rather limited in this department. i still think the dectanes look the best. i like the hella smoked lenses, but i want led.

does anybody know of any other brands that look good? i know footers went for the in.pro, but i'm not sure they look as good.

When I followed 12'' back from ADI the led lights looked great.
I have just had some led bulbs for my reverse lights but Trups thinks they have been made wrong as they don't work.

Probably that fact that he wanted to be seen when he was indicating, like me ;). I know I know, broken record but just wait until everyone you know tells you that your car is faulty. You could get them in clear and that would help, but would look like utter ass.

Totally agree there footers, the clear look pants.

I wonder how insurance companies would react if someone battered my rear end, would they pay out if the indicators are as crap as everyone says?

Ha. My mate got smashed into by a skip lorry while he was stationary. The driver of the lorry had had a stroke. His insurance company refused to pay up because there was no proof of negligence, so he had to claim of his own comprehensive policy with loss of no claims, etc. Fcuking insurance weasels.

Edit, just checked my bulbs on a battery at work and they work fine. I only put 1 of the led bulbs in along side a normal bulb. Think I will have to put both led bulbs in and try again.

Swanny, it isn't a case of if the indicators are crap, my own eyes and everyone that knows me and saw the car with the Dectanes on said it! They are just about ok at night but during the day, just forget about it, especially if there is even a hint of sunshine.

We know where we are going on the roads but it is the 7 billion other drongos that we have to be aware of mate. Your call but....

I see your point footers, and you're right, they do have to be functional as well as look good.

If you order them, through Amazon at least, you should get a pretty well bulletproof returns policy so you could at least try them for yourself? Not sure if they end up coming from Krautland etc. I got both the Dectanes and the In.Pro units via Amazon.

/Edit, I am 99.9% certain that I saw a vid of them running on one of DK's many, many, many, many, many old cars...... Was at a meet if memory serves.

Just a heads up. The reverse light on OEM lights is reverse polarity. Normally outside of bulb is earth and pole is positive, well the holder is opposite, that's why the led bulbs don't work.

Wow. What genius designed that?!

I don't understand why all LED bulbs don't have little diode bridges on them. The 501 bulbs I buy for the 6 are like this. Polarity indifferent.
