Ben, although you didn't state it was a special offer price, I assumed there was something out of the ordinary, or extra special about your offer to warrant this thread, I take it that it is the turnaround time. I wasn't having a dig, you guys have a great reputation and I would use you without hesitation if you were closer.

Could this be done at AmD's Amersham branch or only at the one in Thurrock?

The gearbox comes with a 12 month no quibble Parts and labour warranty. If you are unfortunate enough to have any problems after the initial year but within 3 years/60k miles the gearbox would be repaired FOC and we would only charge the cost of labour to remove/re-fit the gearbox. That is a better warranty than any other independent offers afaik. :bigblink:

Amanda is running 950 IIRC and I am on about 880 and Bam is on about 845 IIRC. All of us run modded TC's and I have a box from 517 trans in US. Panda is still trying to munch her box, and Bam's waiting to blow his so he can get an uprated one I believe

Most tuner's limit the torque to around 800 which is all the standard box will take without fairly rapidly eating its insides

Yep, I knew Amanda had the highest. I was just winding her up.
Chunk, Amanda calls it torgue, not torque. Her sig used to say 95000 of torgue.

853Nm 1st run.
847Nm 2nd run and final map, I think.

/EDIT peaks come in at around 3740rpm.
No matter where you go, there you are.

Is this a one-off (because you have a reconditioned gearbox available now) or a service that you're going to offer on a permanent basis?

Hi Bill,

This will be an on going service we will offer.
chunky79 wrote:How many hours for removal?
bam_bam wrote:Do you have a fixed price for this task? i.e. what if someone supplied a 'box, what would you charge to swap it out, fixed price, no more to pay?
We require the car for 3 days, if you were to supply a box the price of labour would be £1500.00 + vat.
TechNick wrote:Does that include a (new?) TC?
The Torque Converter is also fully stripped down a refurbished with new parts.

HTH,

Ben

Do you or can you offer an uprated gearbox that can handle 950mn torque.............bearing in mind I run an uprated torque converter (capable of handling 1100 nm torque) of which I wouldn't wanted it worked on. If you can this would be of interest to my self and others :bigwave:
