Dude, feel free to elaborate if you want as we are all genuinely curious. We aren't going to mock you etc, we just want a better idea about things with your car. The most important bit is that you understand that things appear to have been done in completely the wrong way on your car sadly and one way or another you will get it sorted :).

Sounds like arse kissing but as far as I am concerned, you CANNOT go wrong with MRC. They have done amazing jobs with both of the cars in my sig below, neither of them put a foot wrong ever, get thoroughly spanked and both go like they have just had a hot poker rammed up their bottoms.
Current:

23' C8 RS6 Vorsprung - 23' RS E-Tron GT Carbon Vorsprung

Gone:

"Brutus"- C5 RS6 Avant - MRC stage 2 - Milltek non-res + 100 cell cats - Wagner ICs - PSS9 - H&R ARBs - OZ Superturismo LM - C6 Custom brakes - HD RNS-E - Various other bits - 555PS/832Nm
"Taz"- C7 RS6 - MRC stage 2 745PS/1095Nm
12' Cayenne Turbo, B7 RS4, S3, Cupra R, XJR, EVO VII, STI8,5,2&WRX, 106 GTI&XSI, other crap.

In fairness there does seem to be a couple of tuning companies who are regularly mentioned on here. They do obviously know their stuff and so do take a real pride in their work and expertise and these are not run of the mill cars by any stretch. It is in their interest to get it right every time as all it takes is one mistake and their reputation goes out the window. From what I have heard on here they do take a really personal approach to what they do to.
Current car: 2007 BMW 530d touring.
Previous car: 2005 S4 B7.

You are right it does sound like arse kissing...Unit 20 and MRC do get a fair bit of publicity on here and I'm sure they do a great job... but we are speaking about a car here not the Space Shuttle...any competent indie (preferably VW/Audi savvy) should be able to fix most of the ill's of the 6...just saying.

Baku, he doesn't just want to fix the car, he is clearly trying to get more power out of it, so I am recommending the TUNING COMPANY that I put my utter trust in and they haven't failed me once. They are one of the very best at tuning these, end of.

When we pickup a S3 next month hopefully, it will barely have any time on the driveway before being shipped straight up to MRC for the works.

Calm down calm down...tuning companies are 10 a penny...It is after all a plug and play fit for most applications...my boys at The Volks Center in Aberdeen have never let me down...and if they don't know what they are doing they will "know a man who does"...was trying to get across the point that it's not only Unit 20 and MRC that know what they are doing…They both get enough free advertising on here.

Unfortunately Mr Aggro65 didn't mention he is in South Africa and our UK suggestions won't work very well. He dropped us an email saying we weren't very helpful.

Anyone know a tuner in Johannesburg?

Weren't very helpful? To be fair, we weren't exactly given oodles of information.

It does seem odd that he emailed PhilT instead of just posting in his own thread, something like "hey guys, this is all great info but I'm a Saffa and these companies you speak of are useless to me. Anyone know any SA based users or outfits?" Just saying, bloody plaasjapies.

Maybe you fellows need to look at the way you answer folks on here...you never know you may find you might even encourage a few new members...who may actually add to the forum instead of just bantering back and forth and laughing at each others jokes...might be worth a try.

Baku, for the love of god you are like a broken record, anyway. Back home isn't massively different to SA and even the backwater garages know better than to just rip that cats off a computerized twin turbo 4.2 litre V8 engine and then slap in an electro doobamabob and say it's all good to go.

If he's that thin-skinned that he emails the admins after the responses in this thread then maybe internet forums aren't the place for him.
