TechNick's Mauritius blue saloon
Re: Nick's Mauritius blue saloon
Bummer. You got any ideas where to source one?

No, not yet. May need to try and adapt a newer one (with the button to turn off the auto-dim) as there don't seem to be many around (new or used) and don't fancy my chances with a used one anyhow.Shoppinit wrote:Bummer. You got any ideas where to source one?

Re: Nick's Mauritius blue saloon
IIRC the wing mirror dimming is slaved from the rear view. Probably nothing very complicated to adapt though.

Re: Nick's Mauritius blue saloon
Finally got the car back from the bodyshop.
Will need a good clean and polish (once the fresh paint is fully cured), but mission accomplished - no more stonechips on the wings!

Looks like a very nice paint job.
Did you find a mirror?

Wow, looks fantastic! Look forward to seeing the "completed" job once the paint has finished outgassing.

Thank you. Just part of the perpetual work of trying to keep it looking fresh.MeTsU wrote:Wow, looks fantastic! Look forward to seeing the "completed" job once the paint has finished outgassing.

Thanks Shop. No, not yet. It's been away in the bodyshop for literally weeks, so wasn't even able to read off the part number of the mirror until today.Shoppinit wrote:Looks like a very nice paint job.

Did enquire at the stealers back when I purchased new headlight trims, though. Looks like they may be able to order one in (once I've double checked the part number). Around £150-200, from what I can recall (was in shock at the time, at the price of the headlight trims!).

Cheers big ears
. When mine dumped its guts, it dripped all over the gearknob and as we didn't see what had happened for a few days, that has been mildly lunched too.
Going to run some leather restorer over it at some point but not expecting miracles.

Only 0.25 Standards currency units. I was expecting a higher price.

Re: Nick's Mauritius blue saloon
I had it at 0.1938 RS6 standard currency repair units.
Have these gotten more expensive to run or do I need to adjust my standard units from £1,200?
