Re: TechNick's Mauritius blue saloon
We should all get together sometime.
I bet there would be some very interesting conversations, regarding the experiences we have gained with our expensive hobbies.

Thanks Dunc. How's pork life treating you (assuming you're still gut lord marching).chunky79 wrote:Never been a fan of the loon, but I do like yours Nicholas

Sold the Macan almost a year ago Nick. Due to the wife's work changing we didn't use it, did about 2.5k miles in the year we had it, sold it for same as we paid for it so couldn't grumble. Was a good car, they handle really well for the size but really missed the sound and torque of the RS6.
Garage has been empty since, waiting for car prices to sort themselves out and going to try and get the mortgage paid off in the next 4 years.

Re: TechNick's Mauritius blue saloon
I couldn't own it again after someone else has had it Steve.
I can't see it for sale on Autotrader or Pistonheads?

Alas the Aston image is a fake, but very well remembered across the internet. I believe it's a photo of Rosanne Jongenelen, for those who are interested

Re: TechNick's Mauritius blue saloon
Hi Nick where did you source the replacement caliper decals from? Mine look like your originals all faded and would like to renew with something that looks OEM and those look good. Thanks Steven
Re: TechNick's Mauritius blue saloon
Hey Steven.
https://www.brakecaliperdecals.co.uk/Au ... ake-Decals (Option 5)
Highly recommend! They're exactly the same size and shape as my faded ones, so was able to literally just overlay on top (after thoroughly cleaning and degreasing, of course)!
I'll likely refurb the calipers at some point (about to fit new discs/pads, so will be after that), but the fading has been bugging me for a while, until I managed to source these and 'took a punt'

They provided spares too

Re: TechNick's Mauritius blue saloon
Thanks again Nick set ordered. Currently got the car on stands tidying suspension, subframe and brakes. Ordered some replacement front discs, current ones actually good but thought I would start gathering parts and got stung for £117 customs clearance!!! The joy of Brexit.. must be good for something... but who knows what.
