Rear view mirror

Post by steve2003rs6 » Sat Aug 28, 2021 9:35 am

Sent my spare rear view mirror to mirror John to have the upgraded auto dim glass installed. And fitted it in the car as soon as I got it back (within 3 days including postage each way) Looks great.

My original mirror which had also failed was then sent to have the same modification.
The corrosive liquid had leaked all over the place during transit and the mirror was covered in the corrosive liquid.
Thankfully John quickly removed the glass and cleaned it all up and apparently saved the mirror which has avoided any damage.
Royal Mail just delivered it and it’s perfect.

Had it been left on the car my interior would certainly have been damaged.
If anyone has a failed rear view mirror. I would suggest that it is removed straight away. The corrosive liquid is really nasty stuff.
This time I got lucky which makes a nice change.

Fantastic service provided by mirrorjohn and I would highly recommend him.

Yes, he's good. He recently did my M3 mirror. Excellent job and very fast turnaround.

I sent my rear view mirror to Mirror John in January 2022. It had started to fail but not leak. Mirror John fitted the near mirror and sent it back within days. It’s now fitted and I’m not worried about that corrosive liquid. Thanks Mirror John.

Does anybody have contact details for mirror John? Mine has a small line along the top formed recently

How much does he charge to replace?

If your thinking about getting it done by mirror John don’t hesitate just do it.
The mirrors are filled with really nasty stuff.
And will ruin interior parts if it leaks onto them.
