Door mirror switch

Post by steve2003rs6 » Wed Jan 13, 2021 11:13 am

My original switch has a slight fingernail scratch on it. Been after a replacement for a while. E Bay etc have loads of them for sale but without the mirror fold facility.
Eventually asked Audi and only 1 available so bought it at £75:00. Yes I know it’s expensive for a switch but cosmetically worth it to me.
So I now have a good fully working switch with a small scratch if anyone is in need. Free to a good home.

Sorry. Just collected the switch from Audi and it is nothing like the original.
Will have to keep looking.

£75? That's a bargain. Only 0.075 Standard RS6 Currency unit.

Where's the scratch? on the knob (ouch!) or the 'cover' with the symbols on it?

If its the cover/trim its a separate part # something like 4B0959557A 5PR which is in stock at Audi tradition, https://shops.audi.com/en_GB/web/tradit ... 57a-b98-14, 5.14 European pesos.

Easy to get the switch up and cover off.

Good luck. I was fortunate that there was one in old stock here in NZ. If Holland doesn't work out, I can see if Australia has anything sitting around as it'll be easy for me to get it over here and send to you.

That's exactly what I need, and about 80% cheaper than anywhere in the US. Too bad that site seems to ship everywhere in the world *except* the states

Not sure if it was always like that for the US, we were 'blocked' for about 6mths last year due to their shipping having a flat fee of 25 euros no matter what. Airfreight costs to us rose about 800% so that's probably why. We've be unblocked and are ordering. As they sell to any and all maybe an Audi dealer might have better luck getting an order through for you?

Switch cover has arrived in Holland. Should be with me soon. Many thanks Alex.
Looking forward to fitting it.
Will Finnish off the interior.
Climate control buttons replaced
Headlight switch replaced
Drivers door windows switch replaced.
I reckon it will be much cheaper to invest in a pair of fingernail clippers??????
