Hi Cap, I'm not at Thomson anymore, good job too as the Dreamliner seems to be grounded all around the world and that would have been a nightmare to deal with. Missed out on some treats and pampering from Boeing, though. Ours should have started to been delivered next month. Thomson are on a roll, Thomas Cook really need to get their act together! I will still carry on posting here.
I didn't want the C6 Avant, had to be the Saloon, mine is called Loon iirc.

Here is the last photo you'll ever see of it from me. I'm pretty upset to be honest. I had five people after it (without even advertising it) and it sold to the first person to view it (who really really knows his stuff) so that says a lot about how good a car it is, as he had viewed other RS 6's and walked away, I'm happy it's gone to a really good home. The owner also has a 650 BHP B5 RS 4, and a E46 M3 CSL amongst a collection of the mintest low mileage classic cars that I could only dream of. Still doesn't feel real the fact that I've let go of it, when I was getting the history together last night it hit me 'I'm actually doing this'. And a part of me wanted for the new owner to turn around and say he didn't want it. Plus, I expected it to leave this weekend/next week, but it went today so caught me off guard.

That's my Plus next to yours at MRC! :jump_clap:

Sorry to hear your Plus is gone, but good choice with the C6 - I'll have an avant when the C5 gets tired.

When u get chance, write a review comparing the two mate.

Yes, thought it was, Mart. Are your Ohlins going on? Will do a comparison. People say the C5 is unreliable, these are the faults mine had in ownership:

1. Parking sensor x 3
2. CV Boot
3. RNS E (intermittent fault - probably the non genuine Nav disc I had in it when I collected it)

That's it, in 14k miles and 14 months, including the Nurburgring being thrown at it.

They don't go wrong much, but when they do its normally expensive compared to a ford mondeo. People need to understand that these cars are high performance cars, and not the normal, so the repair bills will be higher!

Pleased for you Amar, although when I get around to changing mine the prices of the C7 should have come down.

Anyone read the article on PeeHeads about Audi getting the v8 barge right with the C5? http://www.pistonheads.com/news/default ... ryId=26997
The discussion that follows the article is full of "they break all the time" comments!

I have just done 900 miles in mine over the last 2 days and its been fantasic. Its now in for a gearbox oil change, first time for that box at 25k miles.
