Can’t source a radiator!
Re: Can’t source a radiator!
I though the 2 versions were for with and without the little pump under the chassis rail. I'm running the later rad with that extra input blanked off. I'm also running an external oil cooler for the box, so that heat exchanger loop is blanked off. Is there another version of the rad? Ideally just make the optional fitting internally threaded so you can screw a plug in if its not needed.

I wasn't intending to volunteer. I'm far too lazy! I was hoping someone else mightChrisA wrote: ↑Thu Jul 16, 2020 1:49 pmDo it.
It might pay to speak to MRC and Unit20, asking if they would be interested in holding stock which would be a good boost to the number of pre orders.
Also trying to speck it as an upgrade rather than a like for like copy may help preorders.
I’d be interested in one but would need to check which rad I currently have before confirming (can the difference be seen without taking the bumper off?)

It definitely needs to be someone that has had contact with whoever is going to make the radiators and who has a fool proof way of checking which version is needed without taking the car to bits.
Re: Can’t source a radiator!
If someone does this, I'd propose something a little different.
I'd propose a kit that is a single radiator design, plus the requisite hoses & bends, that fits all the cars.

I’d happily run another GB but my technical knowledge on these cars is no where near good enough.

This is good thinking.

Re: Can’t source a radiator!
Thanks so much guys
So, I emailed Serck, and they are going to look at the photos I’ve got to see if they can build a custom one! If they can, as it’s out at the mo anyway I can then just send them this one down for them to work off.
I will also mention that it’s looking like I’m not the only one so I’ll see what they say about that too!
I’ll update tomorrow once heard back from them if they can do something to help!

I might be interested too if it's not daft money. ( there will be a puddle under the car the next time I look now won't there? )

Doofuss. Any news from serck. Mine stopped leaking at the moment. But I just know that if I leave it, it’s going to bite me in the arse.
Re: Can’t source a radiator!
Sorry late reply ! Yes, I got it last weekend! Here’s a pic of it, they did a fantastic job! It’s getting fitted this coming weekend.steve2003rs6 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 04, 2020 4:27 pmDoofuss. Darren at Serck was brilliant, but it took abit longer than the 6 weeks they initially thought as it had to have CAD work. They have kept all the designs though as I did mention that I might pass his details on to the group.
So I sent mine over as it was already out the car and they basically did it like for like, and they have done a fabulous job!
It was £900 inc vat, but that’s still cheaper than factory which was on back order anyway!
Hope that helps

Re: Can’t source a radiator!
That looked really nice.
As mentioned on the other thread mine is ok at the moment.
But at that price might give them a call to get one and keep it for the future. Seeing as it’s 6 to 7 weeks lead time.

Re: Can’t source a radiator!
Any chance your guy could do something for the double oil cooler (viewtopic.php?f=2&t=113332&hilit=Save+o ... r&start=60)? I have a second hand spare one that could be refurbished or serve as model for a new build.

If you do need to order one and it’s the same as mine with the auxiliary cooling, speak to Darren Wiggins at Serck Motorsport, as he’s kept the CAD designs from mine. I did mention to him that I might pass his details on to other members of the forum.
It might not take as long now though, as like I say, he’s kept the CAD design details from mine so that should save abit of time I would of thought.
Their number is 020 8813 7470 or his mobile 07798 930999 email: darren.wiggins@unipart.com

He was very helpful with doing mine and kept me updated throughout, so I personally really recommend them.
