If OEM is starting to become hard to acquire then what are the options regarding “performance” or custom built unit, has anyone looked into this?

Yes I went through a stage of fixing one problem and getting another. Very irritating.
I followed a members advice and made a sacrifice to the Audi gods.
Car runs really well. Just got to get a few gremlins sorted.
Where did you get the rad from ?
Very interested to know as my supplier is having a problem sourcing one.
Take care buddy
Regards Steve
Steve garage got it from TPS, Audi were taking to long to deliver £933 + vat.

Just been in touch with garage. They said they have tried TPS without any luck.
They told him Audi stopped getting them in 2019.
If all else fails looking at re core of existing radiator.

You have https://www.proalloy.co.uk/ or https://csfrace.com/. I use a CSF in the RS4, quality piece of kit.

Can I ask where you got your radiator please? Mines gone on my 04 saloon and I can’t get hold of one that fits for love nor money! It’s got the auxiliary cooling, the part number off it is 4B3121251P which superseeds over to 4B3121251F which is on b/o at the factor and over a grand and I just can’t seem to find a non OEM that will fit!

Garage contacted me this morning. Pro alloy say they don’t have a pattern to make one. But would be pleased to take a look at it once it’s out.
That would mean that the car would be out of use for a considerable length of Time. Not an option as far as I am concerned.

I think it's easier just to modify the cooling circuit to use the older style radiator that can be had for less than 150 quid.

Has anyone had a custome made rad? Surely it would be worth buying an old one, sending it off to proalloy and asking them to recreate the unit. We could speak to MRC and Unit20 to see if they wanted to hold stock and try and get a group buy going. 🤔
