I got mine from larkspeed, around the £650 mark, and kept the stock springs, all good so far after 6k.

No worries, just dug out some paperwork.
Product codes are.
8225265 x2
8225165 x2
With VAT and courier £590, but that was 15 months back, I seem to remember them being very helpful. Matt.

My old one had pss9 and I though it was great. Decent mix of comfort and performance

I’ve just got another one and it’s running KW V1. They have been on the car circa 5-6 years but not done loads of mileage. I don’t like them at all the front seems to ramp up and almost feel like the dash rattled over sustained bumps in the road. They are not adjustable because of V1. But the ride height is set to that of a Plus model and sits at a decent height. I don’t know if they are tired from age 🤷🏻‍♂️ But they should last longer than that as factory ones would. I feel I will change at some point. I’m keen to learn about standard shocks and springs that would work. I used to have a B5 RS4 that had crappy coilovers on it. I ended up going for bilstein shocks and springs and it was perfect. I’ve also had v1 KW on a corrado and liked them. Maybe the heavy rs6 would just suit a standard shock and spring

I am starting to think that a lot of the non-adjustable coil overs err on the side of harshness.

Think your right mate. The best aftermarket setup I ever had was a Bilstein B12 kit. Normal shocks and springs on the B5. Great ride hide. Progressive and handled really well. So well I’m fact that I also had a VW T4 transporter camper can that I ordered the same set up on 😂
