Front suspension banging

Hi I hope someone can help.i have a 2004 rs6 .it has coilovers fitted but over medium and large bumps it makes a harsh loud bang on both front corners as if the shocks are bottoming out.the front coilover shocks have been changed but no difference.i have check all arms and bolts I can see but I cant see anything obviously wrong.has anyone had anything similar.thanks in advance

Check to see if the steering rack is insecure or the bolt are loose

Check the top suspension mounts.
Also, check your brake pedal for play.

Avoid bumps.

That’s strange, I get that rattle/vibration on the driver side however I’m sure it feels like it’s the acccelerator that rattles?

Grab your brake pedal and give it a tug, think you'll find there's a little play in it

Did you replace your top mounts when you changed the coilovers?

I didnt originally fit the coilovers but when I changed on the other day I didnt.they looked in good condition and were a tight fit into the upper carrier

Yeah checked it all over no play has had new upper arms and carrier on the near side too

Have you checked the springs? I broke one on the rear on one of these??
