If he googles the part number of the ECU, it'll likely tell him exactly what model it came off.

Yes, of course. I skim read & thought OP had said he can't read the ECU numbers, my bad.
It'd be Interesting to know which ECU would allow the BCY to run ok considering that some on here have had problems.
