Thinking of selling - whats a realistic value

Post by magpie21 » Fri Nov 24, 2017 10:22 am

As the title really - I've had my RS6 4 years now and it's the longest I've had a car however I feel the need to switch to something a bit more modern and useable. I say useable as my I'm in a catch 22 situation as I'd love to use it more but its only got 58k on the clock and I've held onto it as I've been expecting prices to start to go up but to be honest I'm fed up waiting. When I first bought it it was my only car however my job changed and my mileage increased drastically so I bought a Volvo to do the miles in and I have an X5 which I use on weekends for all the kids stuff an AC Cobra as a fun weekend car so its become a 3rd/4th car for me as - I did less than 1k miles in it last year and for a car that I use that infrequently I'd rather it be something really special!
Values seem to be all over the place but its got to be be one of the lowest mileage ones left so I'm finding it difficult to price it although I am realistic and not looking for stupid money.
Thoughts?

I've got 5 cars, all with a need - from a Saab 9-5 Aero Hot for daily kid carrying, to a Defender 90 V8 for towing, an MG TF for daily runaround, an Ultima Spyder - which is a garage ornament, to the RS6 - which I don't use "that" much, but loading the family up, putting the roof box on the roof and using it to go on holiday is always a laugh - the ultimate continent cruiser that'll out drag most other cars, while you relax and enjoy the ride.

Have I thought about chopping it in - well, yeh, but only to note that I really quite like it and I don't like more modern - I like it's rawness.

Photos and spec would go a long way

I've spent the past 3 months looking at RS6s for sale in various states and specs so have a fair idea on values.

Even with your low mileage gearbox rebuild and DRC replacement/removal is a must to keep people's interest.

In a desirable colour and great condition with the right history I would say around 16-17k around that mileage.
