Interestingly, the OE pads for the C brakes are Brembo and they are just fine. It's all about the compound, not the manufacturer.

OEM Brake pads

I agree, just look at the difference between the Pagids ECP will sell you VS the ones Audi will sell you.

Not sure if the retort was aimed at me. But I thought Bosch was a decent make ? Just trying to offer some assistance as I ran Bosch on the b5 rs4 with cayenne 6 pots and they were spot on. Has anyone tried the Bosch ?

Don't take it personally, Human Joist. I is just being facetious, innit. Maybe the Bosch pads are good. It's easy to tell. Stick 'em on, do the bedding in procedure. If after 10 big stops your front end is not on fire, then they are probably OK. It's just that no cheap pad I have ever tried has been effective on the RS6.

Do the DS2500 not have the brass pin that the OEM Pagids have? That alone probably will persuade me over to the Frodos.

Don't think the OE pads still suffer from that.

What pads did you get in the end, Jay_g?

@JDL: Do you do DS2500 for the M3 e46? I'm in need of a set for upcoming track day.

OEM Brake pads

Post by Jay_g » Tue Apr 26, 2016 7:19 pm

I'm gonna take a punt with Ferrodos I think. I'm not gonna order till the end of the week, but I reckon I've swayed that way i think.

Or maybe I'll get OEM. I am undecided I think

That price is ex-VAT, though. Still a good price.
