I think I missed something- Rich@viper
Hi all. I don't check in here very often. A couple years ago, I had Rich at viper tune my 03 rs6. Everything is fine, but I was going to check with him to see if he can add a bit more oomph as I've made some additional modifications since the tune.
He hasn't responded to emails, or calls. I feel like I missed something and he's not around, or in business anymore. Does anyone know what happened to him?

he used to be on SRS but I've not been on there for ages. You could try asking Grizz at Unit20, he used to be around there a lot mapping cars.

Mate. If your going to map the car go to mrc. Speaking from experiance. They took my old b5 rs4 with a viper map on it and tweaked it from 416 bhp to 460. That was stock bar a cat back exhaust.
I recently got a C5 RS6 and took it there. Stock car mapped to 527 bhp and 797 nm of torque. Make the trip and get it sorted

Thanks for the replies. I have no problem having mrc do my tune, however I live in the US and for obvious reasons, can't do their dyno tuning they are so known for.
Do you know if they do remote tuning?

Sorry. Didn't realise you were US. My bad.
It is totally stock. Even down to exhaust and air filters. Did 452 bhp and 640 ish nm of torque when tested so lost nothing over 12 years mapped on Tesco 99 to 527, I was very impressed. Apparently the gains from a stage 1+ map are massive compared to anything else.

So that was just a stage 1 map? I'm really considering mapping mine, and just jumping straight to stage 2.Human Joist wrote:Sorry. Didn't realise you were US. My bad.

What part of the US are you in? I might be able to put you in touch with someone local.

There are a few on here that have gone stage 2 and replaced filters exhaust pre cats etc etc. They seem to post figures around the 540 bhp mark so I can't see it's worth it when mine does 527 stock imho. I will replace the exhaust when and if it fails but I cant be asked to swap all that for such a little gain. Although I would like slightly louder exhaust

I'm in Minnesota. I may be interested in Mrc if I can just send then my ecu.
