I gotta say I'm pretty happy with it she looks stock but absolutely love the noise

Before standard
New system
Next is to get the pre cats out

I was going to only take pre cats out and leave main cats inseaneb wrote:That sounds awesome, but removing pre-cats and gutting the main cats will take it to a completely new level altogether (but it'll need a remap). If you want to stay legal then no pre-cats and Milltek 100 cell main cats sounds almost exactly the same (but it'll still need a remap).
Removing the pre-cats will generate a CEL unless the ECU is told to ignore the newly redundant lambdas. The remap will sort this as well as taking advantage of the new hardwareBruce-m wrote:I was going to only take pre cats out and leave main cats inseaneb wrote:That sounds awesome, but removing pre-cats and gutting the main cats will take it to a completely new level altogether (but it'll need a remap). Yeah I was only going to take the pre cats out just before heading up to MRC for a remap and ITG filtersblm70 wrote:Removing the pre-cats will generate a CEL unless the ECU is told to ignore the newly redundant lambdas. I've got a friendly MOTer but it's more the resale issues I'm thinking of as want to change to the C6 version poss at the end of the yearseaneb wrote:May as well gut the mains while you are doing it surely? The remap will cost the same but it will make a significant difference to performance and sound. All you will need then is a friendly MOTer.
