She would quite happily help me work on the car if needed. She used to help her dad doing pattern making when she was younger.
I can't afford to trade her in yet, she earns more than me :lol:

Yes fortunately she does have a sense of humor, I have been putting fof buying more for 5 years as its not the most sensible of choices, but if you want an interesting toy, and have 2 dogs, want an automatic under 15K that's not a Subaru Legacy, there is not many choices.

I've been watching this site for a few years now, it only looks like I recently joined as couldn't get on to my old account. Plan to run the car 4 days a week to work and back, which is 30 miles a day, and they for fun trips on the weekend if there is any fuel left lol.

I'm near Chester, so I believe there are a couple of places that are ok within local area.

I have been buying old M3's with the prone SMG weak gearboxes, and have had 3 out of 4 fail, so in the odds of if something can fail it usually does, I'm the buyer it lands on.

But I've always wanted one, so need to have one, I'm sure I will live to regret the decision, especially after my mechanic friend who has one tells me its expensive to run lol.

Worse case scenario, if the gearbox falls out it will live on the road and ill steal my wife's mini until I can afford to get if fixed. ;0) (Wont tell her that though, may test her humor bone)

Thanks for the advice and welcome. J.

22.5? Must try harder. It's the pedal on the right.

Rule 1.
Daytona RS6 C5 Avant. Viper'd, Billies, Waggers, MTM box brain, C6 stoppers, xcarlink, R8 coolant cap (woohoo)
///M3 E46 | XC90 (V8, natch) | Passat GTE | RR Classic V8 flapper
"The major difference between a thing that might go wrong and a thing that cannot possibly go wrong is that when a thing that cannot possibly go wrong goes wrong it usually turns out to be impossible to get at and repair."
