As I am going to keeping this car for a long time, I wanted to make sure it is 100% mechanically, and I wanted to carry out preventative work on known faults that may come up in in the future.
So, with that in mind, and thanks to IanH755 for pointing me in the direction of Unit 20, I had the following done:
- Refurbed gearbox (mine had started to slip a little);
- Refurbed intercoolers (slight leaks on the intercoolers on the car);
- New EGRs;
- New oil cooler, lambdas and various pipes and seals, as the engine was out anyway;
- New rear discs and pads, and one of my calipers got sorted which was binding a little.
I also got my Bilstein PSS9s set up properly, and had the car serviced and MOTd.
The drive back was an absolute joy, and I've done over 300 miles in the car today. I love it so much. It does all of the cruising stuff well, that I used to love in my Jaguar XJR, and the traction with the 4wd is just phenomenal. But you all know that

No more pictures this time as the car is dirty. I'll get some arty shots sorted soon

Another month or so of use before I put it away to hibernate for winter.
I met another customer at Unit 20 who had a red C6 RS6 in for some new wheels - he previously had a supercharged B7 RS4. Anyone here? Sorry, I missed your name. Your C6 is great.
