Got the car back today after a couple of weeks of TLC at Unit 20.

As I am going to keeping this car for a long time, I wanted to make sure it is 100% mechanically, and I wanted to carry out preventative work on known faults that may come up in in the future.

So, with that in mind, and thanks to IanH755 for pointing me in the direction of Unit 20, I had the following done:

- Refurbed gearbox (mine had started to slip a little);

- Refurbed intercoolers (slight leaks on the intercoolers on the car);

- New EGRs;

- New oil cooler, lambdas and various pipes and seals, as the engine was out anyway;

- New rear discs and pads, and one of my calipers got sorted which was binding a little.

I also got my Bilstein PSS9s set up properly, and had the car serviced and MOTd.

The drive back was an absolute joy, and I've done over 300 miles in the car today. I love it so much. It does all of the cruising stuff well, that I used to love in my Jaguar XJR, and the traction with the 4wd is just phenomenal. But you all know that :)

No more pictures this time as the car is dirty. I'll get some arty shots sorted soon :)

Another month or so of use before I put it away to hibernate for winter.

I met another customer at Unit 20 who had a red C6 RS6 in for some new wheels - he previously had a supercharged B7 RS4. Anyone here? Sorry, I missed your name. Your C6 is great.

Ha ha, I'm trying to forget about the bill :)

I intend to keep the car for a long time, so hopefully this workshops keep it healthy for a while.

I forgot, I also had the damper changed on the pedal box to stop the vibration coming through.

Thats something I could do with adding to my List, and a fuel sender, and headlights (again) - The List never ends :D

The car is still going great after the visit to Unit 20. Think the sticky front caliper is back, but apart from that it's the perfect machine.

Hit an important mileage milestone today, too.

Ahhh, it was done before I bought the car.

So fingers crossed this one lasts to 81980085 miles.

Update time. Just back in Scotland after a trip to Unit 20 for a major service, spark plugs, filters,etc. at 81k miles.

Great service one again from Martin. The car was all good (phew) apart from an errant parking sender which was fixed.

Still loving the car, and the drive down and back, about 300 miles each way, was a blast.

And I know I might be biased, but it somehow seems to be getting cooler as it gets older.

Had a good run out in the car today to the Jaguar F-Pace launch.

At least, that was the intention until I saw this place.....
