Air Quality Sensor (G238)

Post by Maximo » Thu Aug 27, 2015 3:50 pm

Got this popping up as a fault on mine at the moment. Can it wait for the service, due in 2500 miles or so, or should I get it sorted now?

Found the part number; 4B0907659A

It can wait. Takes 2 mins to swap. It's only needed when the hvac uses air from outside, should still work fine on recirc.

I swapped mine over a couple of years ago

I guarantee that other than the code you will never know if it is working or not. It is (one of) the appendix of the RS6.

And about £90 to replace IIRC. You'd need to be a 'no codes' perfectionist to justify that.

Sensor is G238, part no 4B0907659A
RS6 Avant (C5), Daytona grey
Gone but not forgotten: S4 Avant (B5)
