EPC & ESP Lights on than loss of power
EPC & ESP Lights on than loss of power
Guys,
Scanned car last night before I set off for Walsall this morning, scan came back clear..
70 miles into my journey about to hit the M6, the EPC & ESP lights came on & I loss power. Coasted over to the hard shoulder, turn car off & back on & continued journey.. Not a problem after that.
Was sat on cruise control @ 52mph for a while, not sure if that has any significance.
Not driven the old girl for a week or 2...
Will scan wen I get back tonight.
Just wanted to put it out there!
Had a look on here not much on it to be fair

You sure about the EPC? Not much can bring that on. Maybe a dodgy accelerator pedal. Maybe throttle body. Codes will help narrow it down.

Check all the hoses are properly on the intercoolers - mine did exactly that when they had half blown off. Heavy boost sent it into limp mode, and a restart cleared the problem.... until next time I floored it.

Re: EPC & ESP Lights on than loss of power
I had what sounds like the same problem. Loss of power when using cruise control. It was a poorly fitted turbo pipe. I am told its the way the brain works out what speed you are doing, it confuses it if there's an air leak and decides thers a fault. It may not be the same problem....but it sure sounds like it.
